The Virtualization Over Easy (VOE) team brings over 111 years of Oracle experience to the virtualization of database servers and Business/Mission Critical Applications.  The goal of the VOE team is to provide knowledge, insight and best practices to the virtualization of tier-one platforms.  Credentials for the VOE team includes:

  • An Oracle ACE Director, one Oracle Double ACE,  two Oracle Aces and one Oracle Certified Master.
  • One VMware vExpert, a VMware Certified Instructor and two VMware Certified Professionals.
  • Authors of over 14 database and business application books.  Authors of over 50 courses around Oracle, Red Hat, Java,  Oracle Fusion Technology and MySQL.
  • Red Had Certified Administrator.

VMware Virtualization Expert Team

Charles Kim, Founder and President of Viscosity Technologyis an Oracle ACE Director and is an Oracle Certified DBA, and an Oracle Certified RAC Expert.  Charles specializes in Exadata and Virtualization (VMware and Oracle VM) and works predominately in the Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) space (RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and other High Availability solutions). Charles co-authored three books:

1.   Oracle Database 11g New Features for DBA and Developers
2.   Linux Recipes for Oracle DBAs
3.   Oracle Data Guard 11g Handbook

Charles holds certifications in Oracle, VMware, Red Hat Linux, and Microsoft and has over 20 years of Oracle experience.  Charles sat on the panel of oracle experts at VM World and Oracle OpenWorld for virtualization and Linux.  Charles was one of the founding members of the virtualization SIG that launched in 2011 at Oracle OpenWorld.  
 
Charles is also the author of the 107 page case study that is show cased by Oracle Corporation on how Fidelity National Financial implemented RAC on ASM with Data Guard for Disaster Recovery on AIX:

The case study served as a blue print for many companies on how they should architect and implement mission critical databases with RAC, Grid Control, ASM, and Data Guard.  

 

George Trujillo is recognized as one of the rainmakers in the IT industry.  George is an internationally recognized speaker and leader in the Cloud/Virtualization, Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware, MySQL, and Open Source Software user communities. Industry recognitions: Oracle Double ACE in Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle MySQL ACE, Sun Ambassador for Sun Microsystem’s Application Middleware Platform, VMware Certified Instructor and MySQL Certified DBA.  Achievements include serving on the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) Board of Directors, Oracle Fusion Council, and Oracle Beta Leadership Council. George has been selected as one of the IOUG’s “Oracles of Oracle” as well as a Master Presenter for the IOUG’s Master Series presentations.   As an Oracle Solutions Architect, George is currently focusing on helping customers move their production database servers and business critical applications to virtual infrastructures and cloud platforms.

 

 

Michael Corey, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ntirety. Michael is a frequent speaker at technology and business conferences throughout the world from Australia to Brazil.  Michael is an Oracle ACE, VMware vExpert and is on the Talkin’ Cloud 200 Computing Executives and Experts List. He worked with Oracle for close to 30 years starting with Oracle Version 3. Michael is an active member in the technology community. Michael is a past president of the Independent Oracle Users Group; he helped found the Professional Association of SQL Server and is a founding board member of the IOUG Virtualization SIG, member VMware Guru program, Original recipient of the IOUG “Special Recognition” award now known as the Chris Wooldridge Award and received the only Life Time Membership awarded by the Independent Oracle Users Group.
Michael received a gubernatorial appointment to the Massachusetts Robert H. Goddard Council for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and currently sits on the Executive Board.
